Oh no. This is a question in the test.
What is Anthropometry?
Ans: Something in the field of biomedical science.
How can Anthropometric data be used?
Ans: To set a question in the common test.
Oh no,oh no..thats what i wrote in the test.
Just a little joke cuteness...
Okay, to start, let me ask you a question;
what do you think is the meaning of Cute?
Really. What is the meaning? Ugly but
adorable lar! Thats most probably going to
your answer. Well, I can tell with a clear
conscience that you are WRONG if that truly
is your answer.
I have no idea how this common
misconception of U.B.A. (Ugly but adorable)
meaning came around. It seems like it had
been around for a long time. (If you believe
that UBA is the meaning, then continue
reading, if not, its up to you.) Even my dad
told me that when I was much younger.
Personally, I find it very irritating. One
possible scenario: Imagine a guy chasing a
girl, and he compliments the girl by calling
her cute. Suppose she truly & sincerely
believes that UBA is the meaning, the guy
sure is in a tight spot huh? Never really
encountered this, but its a possibility
Another scenario (Practice picturing
scenarios a bit lar, dont be too lazy.) Imagine
for a moment, you want to be a lil vain, self
praising or whatever you call it. You say "I
know i'm cute, dont need to tell me" Then you
get a reply from a smart alec: "Yar, you're
cute alright! Ugly but adorable that is!" Isn't it
just IrRiTatInG? Grrr...
You're trying to bring up your
self esteem but NOooo!
Someone just has to use their limited
knowledge to try and insult you. And along
with him are other people who know just as
little.
So, they laugh at you.
Irritating huh?
Well, anyway, I just had to find out the true
meaning!!
its just irritating since its not true.
Some time back, I heard this meaning
being mentioned. So, I got pretty curious.
Since I was at my computer, I just did a
simple search. And here are the results:
Cambridge: (especially of something or
someone small or young) charming and
attractive.
Dictionary.com: Delightfully pretty or dainty.
Longman: very pretty or attractive
Oxford: endearingly pretty, Attractive, sweet,
clever, ingenious
Webster: attractive or pretty especially in a
dainty or delicate way
Those were my results; if you know of any
Dictionary that says UBA is the meaning, let
me know. I am now on a campaign to rid
cute of the UBA meaning and to correct
peoples thinking, so, if you agree with me,
please repost this! Remember, we as
humans only know what we think we know.
So, i hope you pass this on to help people
KNOW the actual meaning of "Cute".
