The fireworks are splendid. The colours adding variety to the horizon of blues.
The crowds all get hyped by cracking in the sky. BOOM BOOM BOOM!
If u sit in the esplanade library, at the corner... the view is just marvelous. Too bad the librarian chases people out at 9pm. What a bummer.
But i felt its not worth the wait. Instead of smelling the reminiscence of the fireworks, you get smelly men and noisy women.
After say 2 hours of kiasu waiting, you get to see 10-15 mins of $$$ investments in the form of bright lights in the sky, as well as a whole sky of polluted air.
Then once in a while, you see other sources of bright lights in the sky. And they steady move from one side to the other. Damn the aeroplanes...blink blink blink.
Maybe the aeroplanes wanna be a lighthouse in the dark blue sky showing a path to the birds in case they crash into the fireworks.
I've got a good idea. Maybe next time i'll invent some new type of fireworks display... pouring sparklers out of a hatch of my aeroplane.
Then smelly men and noisy women will squeeze together below, WOWing at stuff they think is fireworks.
